Knowing what is yours but not knowing how to get at it can be very frustrating. The quality of revelation you can access is what will determine the quality of glory you are able to enjoy.

No matter how colorful your vision is, misdirection can lead to many years of setbacks, and can even wipe out a man’s destiny. You are supernaturally in command when you operate as commanded.

For you to excel and make impact in life, you must first discover the purpose for which you are created for because you function best when you are in your place of primary purpose in life.

You will keep struggling or just surviving when God’s plan for your life is unknown. You are designed to perform best at that assignment you are created to perform just as any product only functions optimally when used for what it was specifically designed for. 

Knowing what you are created for is important but knowing how to achieve it is very vital.  Knowing how to achieve your purpose in life requires divine guidance.

A destination without a direction will result to frustration. Many of us know what we are created for but achieving such dream has been a big challenge in our life.

One of the greatest tragedies of life is to lack the knowledge of where you are going as well as not know how to get there. While vision shows you the promise land, God’s guidance is what enable you to arrive there. If you are determining the way to go by what you see, you will be utterly limited in life.

Trust in the Lord with thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 KJV

God will never force us to follow Him; He leaves it to our choice. The only way man can be greater than God is through our choice, God cannot force us to make a choice. He leaves us to our choice; He does not have the power to choose for us.

I will like us to note the ways in which God leads and start putting it into work which will terminate the yoke of wrong decision making in our life.

The Word

The word of God is the custodian of destiny. Every great future is rooted in discoveries made from the scripture.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 KJV

God is the director; we are the scripts acting the scripture. Any guidance you receive, bring it back on the balances of scripture to see whether it is right or wrong. Until the word is taken away from you then the world cannot be taken away from you.

The scripture is the acid test for whatever guidance you receive. If you never get to hear any voice from heaven telling you what to do, you can still receive direction for your life as God speaks to you from His word.

The voice of the Spirit

The spirit witnesses to you by impressing something on your spirit. I once shared such encounter in one of my writing on how the Holy Spirit impressed on my spirit man to fast but I turned a deaf ear leading to an embarrassing moment for me. You can read such encounter here

The Holy Spirit speaks to us either by an inner witness or an outer audible voice.

Then the Spirit said unto Philip Go near and join thyself to this Chariot. Acts 8:29 KJV

Been sincere in whatever you are doing is not enough to guarantee your success, because you can be sincerely wrong. Paying attention to the voice of the Spirit is a greater step to achieving success in life.

The Witness of the Spirit

The healthier your spirit the stronger the witness it can receive and relate with. One way the witness of the Spirit operates is that whatever does not create liberty in your spirit is a constraint of the Holy Spirit against the step you are about to take.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV

Not everything that seems good is God but everything that is God is good. That the business, contract or relationship may seem good doesn’t mean it is God. So, we must evaluate our Spirit to know if there is true liberty in it before we can actually confirm it is from God.

Whenever your Spirit man is gagged, withheld, resisted and choking, be cautious, because it might be the Spirit of God constraining you against the step you are about to take. When your spirit is not celebrating a particular step you are taking or about to take, then watch it, as God may be sending you a signal to stop.

Vision

It is a spiritual picture painted by the Holy Spirit in charting a path into our future or in unfolding the plans and purpose of God for our life. Vision is God-given; whereas ambition is man-made. Vision is from above, while ambition has its origin here on earth.

Ambition is born out of an earthly drive to do it better than others. It springs mostly out of envy and a desire for power and self-recognition. Vision is designed for enlargement and growth only when diligently pursued.

A very close friend of mine shared how she got the inspiration in which i can say vision; to go into a flower business. But the moment she started she began to see are friends trying to copy her style of business, some even went as far to seek for her permission.

she was kind of worried at first because she felt that will stir up competition. But i said to her only the true vision can stand the test of time and she must not let this to weigh her down because without the existence of original there cannot be fake.

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29 KJV

The beauty and colour of your vision will only be seen as you pursue it. Vision is not a once-in-a-lifetime issue, vision multiplies with diligent and sustained by faithful pursuit.

Conclusion: the first step to take in order to be led by God is to give our life to Christ because He will never lead those who will not follow. We must also be committed to a word studying lifestyle in order to hear from Him constantly and to activate our spirit man per time because God only communicate to our spirit. But when our spirit is been starved he will begin to hear anything both good and bad and will not be able to differentiate between the word from God or devil. Been able to hear the voice of God and experience the witnessing of the Spirit is as a result of our foundation in studying the word.

Therefore, been wanting to be led by God must be a deliberate decision to be committed in the following of His word and doing it as well because it is what you do with what you know that determines the outcome of your life. We may know only some bit about the past, and a little about the present, but only God knows everything about the future. Knowing your purpose and how to achieve it can only be discover through the leading of God. God is committed to leading us only if we regard Him in our ways. Until we ask Him to take the wheel of our life He will be limited to driving us to our point of glory. Until we follow His leading then we will always remain low.
