We don’t know how powerful we are until we start to put our will into action. Your will is a force of deliverance from any issues of life. It is a potent heaven-invested force inside every mortal being. It can determine your habit because what you want is your desire but what you will is your decision.

Your desire can be dislodged, but your decision can’t because it is stronger than your desire. Your desire is your wish whereas your decision is your choice. It is your will that determines your way, and until you will you don’t win.

Not everything requires prayer and fasting or going from one pastor to the other. It just requires us to take a decision to follow the right path. If the devil cannot stop us from been redeemed then he cannot stop us from giving up on sin.

Your will is your determination and the expression of your decision, and it determines your destination. It is your will that wheels you on. When it is your will, the way will be clear.

I was a strong addict to alcoholic drinks even after I gave my life to Christ I still wasn’t able to quit the taste of it. But, I made a strong decision to stop taking anything alcoholic through the help of the Holy Spirit and now I can’t be tempted for a sip.

Not everything you should hold God responsible for. We have our part to play which is making use of our will power. A faith that holds God responsible for everything is irresponsible.

Until you take a step God cannot step you forward. You need to start exercising your will power unless you will be overpowered. Let me walk you through some steps you need to take to fortify your will power.

Disconnect From Sin

Repentance is your path to disconnection. Desire is what brings your restoration, and steadfastness will guarantee continuity in your freedom from sin.

Let me tell you the acronym of sin; Satan Identification Number. Until you disconnect from sin your will power will still be contested by the devil because you still carry his identification with you. 

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1 KJV

Develop A Good Conscience

Your conscience is the scale of justice that tells you what is right or wrong. After you complete an action and your conscience is not at peace that is your conscience judging your action and telling you that you are wrong. Therefore, you must quickly make an amendment for you to be certified right by your conscience.

If you refuse to yield to the correction of your conscience per time, your conscience will no longer be able to correct you anymore because you have changed the default settings of your conscience through your uncorrectable attitude leading to a dead conscience. Then people will start to see you as a bad personality because you developed your conscience in a bad way.

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16 KJV

Stop That Habit

The habit you don’t stop will stop you. If I never stopped my drinking habit, I would have been stopped by it because one thing I know about drinking is that it makes you aged quickly, it also causes untimely death for some.

Therefore, I might be long gone to the grave or look like my grandparents at my youthful age. Mike Murdock said and I quote “You don’t decide your future; you decide your habit and your habit decides your future”. It’s time to make your will count now by putting a stop to those habits.

Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter and as a bird from the hand of the fowler Proverbs 6:5 KJV.

Filter Your Contact

Contact is what establishes a contract. Immorality is impossible without contact. If you are to make any contact keep the right company. If you want to leave right, you must keep the right company and relate with the right things.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV

It is easier for the unbelievers to separate you from God than for you to bring them to God. Christianity that has no demarcation will lead to destruction.

To have an unbeliever as your confidant makes a fool of your Christianity. Don’t develop permanent friends but develop permanent interest. When you are no longer on the same frequency with someone you called friend change them.

Beware of ungodly brethren; and Christians who live ungodly life as well. Christians who live ungodly life are referred to as dogs because they go back to there sinful ways.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog has turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. 2 Peters 2:22 KJV

In any relationship; you are either growing or groaning. It is better to walk alone with God than to be trapped with someone who scorns the truth.

Take An Oath

When you enter into an oath with God, it is called a covenant. Every covenant that is ratified by the blood of Jesus is supreme because that is the blood of the everlasting covenant.

  And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul. 2 Chronicles 15: 12

An oath will always put your will in check. I made an oath to God to cut my life short the day I indulge in a cyber-scam and this has kept my will so strong that I never see it as an option to make it in life. An Oath is a foundation to birthing a strong will power.

When you get to an oath level, you become immovable to every contrary decision against your will. An oath is a seal on your decision. Until your will is in place, an oath is a risk, but when your will is in place; an oath becomes your security.

Conclusion: If your will is not in place in your contest with sin, you will be a victim. Until your will is in force, everything you want is a mere desire or a mere wish. It is your decision that counts, not the wickedness of the devil. The quality of your decision is largely determined by the quality of information available to you.

Every price you pay to let go of sin will lead you to a prize in the kingdom. You need the right association to enjoy the right manifestation. Sinners won’t take you to any place of honour. They don’t have it, so they can’t give it. Your will is a force to reckon with in the contest with sin and an oath is a confirmation that the end of struggles has come.
