I will like to start by saying success is not hereditary but an ability. Anybody can succeed if you know the steps to take. Outstanding performance in the future is a product of qualitative preparation today. Until there is a mover there cannot be any move in life. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV. It is your believe that determines your relief.

Let us talk about the steps for preparation for outstanding performance in life. Firstly, what do you understand by the word preparation? Preparation is planning, programming and seeking necessary help for desirable result. Every great destiny is a product of adequate and deliberate preparation. Preparation can be broken down into three basic task; planning, programming and seeking for help.

Planning

This is the step by step design towards the accomplishment of a given task. If you fail to plan you plan to fail. Through wisdom is an house built; and by understanding it is established. Proverb 24:3 KJV.

Planning process begins with fact findings and the intelligent arrangement. There is no substitute for planning for a desirable accomplishment in life. No matter how anointed you are, if you don’t plan you will end up been mocked. Prayer without planning is playing without knowing.

Programming

This dictate the steps of planning process. Planning defines the required action, programming schedules the actions. Programming is about timing the required action towards achieving a task. Without adequate information you cannot made a quality decision. Time is never wasted when used for programmed preparation, it is called time investment.

Seeking for help

Seeking for help in line with our preparation can be divided into two aspects: firstly, through prayer, Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7 KJV. Secondly, looking out for resource materials where relevant facts can be gathered. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV.

Conclusion: It is your commitment in preparation that will determine your productivity, and it is your productivity that will determine your success in life. Preparation put you ahead of your pursuit in life. It is preparation plus grace that lead to success in life. God will never put you in a position that will make under function leading to malfunctioning. Preparation is not a mere wish but a deliberate act.
